Link Shell Extension to rozszerzenie systemowej powłoki Windowsa o możliwość tworzenia linków symbolicznych, zwanych również powiązaniami oraz dowiązaniami twardymi i symbolicznymi. Stanowi znaczne ułatwienie w sytuacji, kiedy chcielibyśmy wykorzystać te mechanizmy bezpośrednio w Windowsie, nie używając do tego dodatkowych narzędzi – standardowo opcje takie są niemożliwe lub dostęp do nich mocno utrudniony i łatwy w obsłudze tylko dla zaawansowanych użytkowników komputera (często konsolowo).

W tym przypadku obsługa nie będzie stanowić żadnego wyzwania, ponieważ wystarczy skorzystać z opcji w menu, które wyświetlają się w systemowej powłoce. Należy wybrać interesujące nas katalogi lub pojedyncze pliki, a następnie wskazać opcje powiązań dostępne z poziomu kontekstowego menu na dowolnym poziomie eksploratora Windowsa.


Aplikacja oferuje dostęp do kilku podstawowych ustawień. Uruchomimy je nie z poziomu kontekstowego menu, ale dodatkowej ikony, która pojawi się po instalacji w menu Start. Znajdziemy tam przede wszystkim możliwość wskazania typu zewnętrznych dowiązań twardych, jakie będziemy chcieli tworzyć, sposobu generowania linków symbolicznych oraz trybu zachowywania.

For non Admin users under Windows 10, the explorer did not restart after install
During custom icon change one was asked to close lots of dependant apps, which is uneccessary. Reboot Explorer.exe is enough.
Lots of strings very wrong. Introduced with 3.9.2.8
Removed 'Delete Junction' from main menu.
Improved menu hydraulics, e.g. once can not create Smart Copies of Symbolic Link Files.
Adapted check for Redistributables to VS2017 and Windows 10.
