Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam

Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam

QJ6TKYu.png

The Van Gogh Museum is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Aesthetic and architecture this building is amazing. The interesting circular shape of the building being half glass and half cement makes it pop out tremendously.

Fortunately, the facility also opened its virtual doors. In museum is the world's largest collection of works by the famous painter Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890). Famous painter only sold one painting, which was purchased by his brother. Now his works are worth tens of millions of dollars. He painted 38 self-portraits, about 900 paintings in total, in just 10 years. Which means he painted a new painting roughly every 4 days!

The permanent collection includes over 200 paintings by Vincent van Gogh, 500 drawings and more than 750 letters that the painter wrote to his brother and friends. The collection is spread over several floors on which we can also walk virtually. The museum also presents exhibitions on various subjects from 19th-century art history.
