Bug fix: The Clean and Fix My Computer can freeze and never finish if scanning the registry with the one notch more aggressive scan option.
Bug fix: the Software Leftover scan of the Clean and Fix My Computer is run on the more aggressive scan mode but not in the most aggressive scan mode.
Bug fix: If using registry key abbreviation, some features of the Registry Finder do not work properly, such as the Open In RegEdit feature.
Bug fix: Check For Updates feature’s window moves automatically to the left corner of the screen and is incorrectly sized. The same bug can also occur with other program windows.
Bug fix: Startup Manager’s Explore option (in Right Click menu) does not work if the startup item’s file reference contains command line parameters.
Bug fix: If using the program in the modern GUI mode (default mode), thre is no Columns menu in the File Tool, making it impossible to use some of the tool’s features.

Bug fix: Registry Find and Replace tool’s Open in RegEdit feature fails if the registry key abbreviation feature is enabled. The actual registry find and replace operation works, though.
Bug fix: The date column options do not work in the File Tool.
Bug fix: The Always show these columns option is not working in the File Tool.
Bug fix: PowerTools can in very specific cases of duplicate data in the registry, create a backup file that doesn’t fully undo the made changes to the registry, the issue is mainly affecting the Registry Find and Replace tool.
Bug fix: Software Uninstaller can show error message about not being able to create file called exe.ico.
Bug fix: The Columns menu in File Tool doesn’t translate, if you are using the program in other language than English.
Bug fix: Program can show an Access Violation error message with a reference to HideStatusBar function call.
Bug fix: Filepaths in Startup Manager can be incorrect, especially with disabled startup items.
Bug fix: Tall letters in main window’s trial info bar may be partially cut off.
Bug fix: The program can show error message relating to Access Violation MessageLog.Clear.

New jv16 PowerTools X – Version 4.0.0.1499
An updated version of jv16 PowerTools X has been released. The updated version contains the following changes:


New Features

New feature: Auto Update – if enabled, the program will automatically download and install updates to the program, translation(s) and the handbook (if installed). The updates happen with no action needed from the user, the user will be notified after any file has been updated.

Please note that this will most likely be the last time you will have to manually setup jv16 PowerTools X on your current operating system. Updates will from now on be delivered to your system automatically (once the latest, current version 4.0.0.1499 is downloaded and installed) and any bug fixes and improvements published alongside these updates will be reported to you via e-mail during our weekly updates session. Our full focus goes to making sure you benefit from some of the best PC Optimization features on the market today, with the least amount of effort.

Bug Fixes

Bug fix: Registry Compactor can refuse to start with an error message about failing to write to C drive.
Bug fix: The program can show error message about Access Violation after the Initial Setup has been ran and the program starts for the first time.
Bug fix: Sometimes when the program is started, the main window gets very unresponsive for a period of 5 – 10 seconds.
Bug fix: There can be the Buy Now option in the Help menu even if you already own a license for the product.
Bug fix: In some systems, the Initial Setup and/or the Software Uninstaller crash with Out of Memory error or run indefinitely.
Bug fix: Clicking the Update Details button in the My Account tool can show an error message about an Access Violation error.

Bug Fixes

Bug fix: The main window’s user interface may not always correctly display that the program is run under Windows 10. Note: this was purely a cosmetic issue, Windows 10 was correctly detected and there were no compatibility issues.
Bug fix: When you open the Backup Tool, there should be special backups related tools under the Tools menu. These additional features, such as the Undo function for Immunize my Computer, were not always visible.
Bug fix: Clicking the Back button while My Account tool is loading up can cause a Cannot Change Visibility on OnShow error message.
Bug fix: The Software Uninstaller can in some rare cases display duplicates, that is, the exact same software more than one time.
Bug fix: The Software Uninstaller sometimes shows no icons for a software, if the software has no icon, a default Windows application icon should be displayed.
Bug fix: The program can randomly show an error message about Access Violation relating to TPowerToolsPanel.
