Calibre to darmowa i wieloplatformowa aplikacja do zarządzania książkami elektronicznymi w systemie Windows, OS X i Linux.

Program Calibre synchronizuje ebooki pomiędzy różnymi urządzeniami i czytnikami, konwertuje do popularnych formatów (MOBI, EPUB, HTML, TXT, PDB, PDF, AZW3, RB, RTF itd), edytuje metadane w plikach i pobiera istotne informacje o książkach z internetu. Oprócz tego, może służyć jako czytnik książek elektronicznych, a także narzędzie do zarządzania i segregowania własnej biblioteki.

Umożliwia przeprowadzenie analizy struktury dokumentu oraz dokonanie jego podziału na poszczególne rozdziały i utworzenie spisu treści. Do własnej bbilioteki Calibre możemy dodawać ebooki z dysku twardego (wyszukując pliki w folderach lub w spakowanych plikach ZIP, RAR), a nawet pobierać ksiażki z internetowej sklepów Amazon, SONY Reader, Empik itp.
