ContaCam to w pełni darmowa aplikacja, służąca do prowadzenia systemu monitoringu poprzez kamery przemysłowe lub kamerki internetowe, posiadająca także funkcję nagrywania strumieni wideo z urządzeń. Program wyposażony jest przy tym w tak zaawansowane funkcje, jak wykrywanie ruchu. ContaCam obsługuje dowolną ilość urządzeń zewnętrznych, zatem stopień rozbudowania naszego systemu monitoringu zależy wyłącznie od potrzeb (i zasobności naszego portfela).

Program wyposażony jest w prosty interfejs, którego centralną część zajmuje, rzecz jasna, podgląd obrazu z poszczególnych kamer, który możemy szybko przełączać w podgląd pełnoekranowy. By ułatwić odnalezienie się w aplikacji początkującym użytkownikom, ContaCam wyposażono w przyjaznego asystenta, który poprowadzi nas przez proces konfiguracji systemu.

Wśród możliwości programu znajdziemy m.in:
• tryb 24-godzinnego nagrywania ciągłego (przed jego zastosowaniem należy upewnić się, że na dysku twardym znajduje się dość wolnego miejsca),
• tryb nagrywania ręcznego, uruchamiany i zatrzymywany przez użytkownika,
• tworzenie zrzutów obrazu z wybranych kamer w określonych odstępach czasowych, a także układanie zapamiętanych zrzutów w formie pokazu slajdów, przedstawiających historię aktywności na obserwowanym obszarze,
• przesyłanie zrzutów obrazu – po wykryciu ruchu w obserwowanej przestrzeni – na zintegrowany z programem i zabezpieczony hasłem serwer web, serwer FTP lub określony adres e-mail,
• dodawanie efektów graficznych i filtrów do obrazu z kamer (sepii, skali szarości, efektu negatywu, wyostrzenia, zmiękczenia itp.).

Aplikacja ContaCam może z powodzeniem służyć jako samodzielne centrum monitoringu domowego lub przemysłowego, z obsługą którego bez problemu poradzi sobie osoba bez kwalifikacji ochroniarskich.

If no attachment is selected the motion detection email is sent really fast (before it was only sent when the detection storing was done)
Configurable minimum time between motion detection email messages
Removed the possibility to email jpeg snapshots on motion detection as it rarely catches what's moving. The Small Video (animated gif) is by far better suited as it really shows the movement (if its size is too small then adjust that under Save Small Video - Thumbnail Size)
