Rainmeter to bezpłatna aplikacja do personalizacji pulpitu, przeznaczona dla platform Windows. Jeśli chcesz zmienić wygląd pulpitu na o wiele atrakcyjniejszy, a przy okazji korzystać z przydatnych skórek (widżetów), nie ma lepszego narzędzia do tego celu.

Niezależnie od systemu operacyjnego, którego używasz, jego wygląd może z czasem się znudzić. Wówczas można zainstalować aplikację Rainmeter, aby sprawić, by pulpit Windows wyglądał zupełnie inaczej - może przypominać np. interfejs ulubionej gry albo motyw filmowy. Z drugiej strony, Rainmeter pozwala umieszczać na pulpicie dodatkowe narzędzia, przez co możesz łatwo obserwować użycie pamięci i poziom naładowania baterii, czy też rzucać okiem na pojawiające się dane, takie jak e-maile czy kanały RSS. Niektóre z dostępnych "skórek" do Rainmetera pełnią również dodatkowe funkcje: mogą zapisywać notatki i tworzyć listy zadań do zrobienia, ułatwiać uruchamianie najczęściej używanych aplikacji, czy też pozwalać na obsługę odtwarzacza multimediów.

W ostatnich latach producenci oprogramowania próbowali wprowadzić podobne narzędzia, które miały w jakimś stopniu integrować nasze "życie online" z pulpitem systemu. Można wspomnieć np. o Google Destkop czy Windows Sidebar wprowadzonym w Viście, ale nawet te rozwiązania nie zyskały takiej popularności jak Rainmeter, który przez lata zgromadził dużą społeczność, regularnie tworzącą wiele modyfikacji i skórek.

For iTunes, the change allows the album art to be retrieved for streaming songs as well as of local only songs.
• Changed Languages: Updated Dutch, Russian and Swedish translations.
• Fixed Shape meter: Corrected a bug introduced in a previous beta that broke some features of the stroke style, like StrokeLineJoin.
