What’s new!

Progressive Web Apps & Install Site as an Apps comes to Floorp! The most easy way to install web app or site as an app!

This feature is only available on Windows.
Progressive web app is a feature that makes install a site as an app.
You visit a site, if the site has web application manifest, Floorp show icon on URL bar. If click it. Then, Open popup.
The site will be installed as an app & Floorp will open the PWA window.
Installed site can be searched on Windows search feature.
Uninstall & Open PWA window, both are easy. Open menu panel & You can manage them on there.


Changed:
New document icons available on Floorp!
PDF & Other document icons replaced by new icons. Icon’s visual designs are match with Floorp current icons.
Example: PDF icon on Windows Explorer.

Fixed:
If Floorp enter to full screen mode, It’ll get a border on left or right side.

If you get problem relate to “Simple Tab Groups”, Please disable workspaces on preferences

• If you use new Workspaces, please use “customize toolbar” & Drag Workspaces button to toolbar.

Fixed

• Various security fixes.
• Resolved an issue where vertical tab bar could no longer be scrolled with the mouse wheel if “Collapse Vertical Tabs” was enabled when vertical tabs were enabled.
• Add various no compatibility website injections.
• Resolved an issue where the workspace would occasionally multiply into two if the workspace setting “Manage workspaces in the browser manager sidebar” was enabled and Floorp was set not to restore the previous tab when starting up.
• Resolved workspace button bloat issue in Fluerial UI.
• Fixed an issue where digital signatures were missing in the Windows version.

Unresolved

• Floorp on macOS is experiencing an issue where the workspace context menu proliferates. This problem does not affect usability, but we would like to fix it (if possible) within the next month.

• What’s new:
• Now, Users can run almost of extensions on Floorp’s Sidebar (Browser Manager Sidebar) !
• You can change the extension to work in the browser manager sidebar by enabling the appropriate settings from aboutreferences#bSB & restart Floorp.
• Enabling this preferences also allows picture-in-picture and web developer tools to work in the sidebar.
• However, some extensions will not work and some additional limitations apply. This feature uses Floorp’s most complex and difficult implementation to force the extension to work by opening a Floorp’s browser window in Floorp, so it may be unstable.
• Also, AdGuard is not working, but an extension with similar functionality, such as uBlock Origin, may, so we recommend trying out a few add-ons to find one that is compatible.
• Changed:
• Some Custom Shortcut Key (CSK) actions relating to split view added.
• Improving the mechanism used when restoring workspaces so that workspaces start up faster.
• Now, uses can delete the links in the lower right corner of Floorp Home. by @TheChilledBuffalo
• Fixed:
• Fixed various issues related to the Browser Manager sidebar.
• Various bug fixes.

• New:
• Now, Users can run almost of extensions on Floorp’s Sidebar. Now, this feature is stable !
• The “experimental” flag has been removed as the implementation is stable enough.
• Even if you use it on a daily basis, you won’t experience any side effects. In the future, we plan to continue updating the Web Panel with various functions, and in the future we are making adjustments so that it can use new features that are at the cutting edge of the web.
• Now, Users can now see the hash these are generated when building Floorp.
• Since the Linux version of Floorp cannot be signed, the authenticity of Floorp can be verified by hashing instead. Check out the release on GitHub.
• Changed:
• Floorp blocks VP9 playback and forces h.264 playback when playing videos on YouTube.
• Fixed:
• Fixed the label display for closing multiple tabs to be correct in vertical tabs.
• Fixed an issue where workspace container settings were not retained after reboot when a private container was assigned to the workspace.
• Fixed an issue where the background color of vertical tabs would disappear on the Linux version.
