AlomWare Actions Free Lite 1.50
- MAJOR ENHANCEMENT FOR ALL PAID USERS ONLY: Command-line (batch) running of actions!
- The syntax for doing so is: "c

- Please see the manual for more info, as some steps cannot be used via command-line.
- Major bug fix: Fixed memory code and thus dramatically reduced memory use when running.
- Major bug fix: Fixed issues with different screen resolutions and multiple monitors.
- Bug fix: Pasting steps didn't work with the "Paste" icon (only worked with Ctrl+V before).
- Minor bug fix: "About" window no longer says "Lite" when it's unlocked by a purchase.
- Addition: "AlomWare.com" menu item in the system tray icon, for visiting our website.
- Minor change: Modified the system tray message when minimizing the main window, so that
- each line of text isn't broken over two lines on Windows 10. Just a cosmetic thing.
- Other internal fixes and optimizations.
- Minor changes to the manual.

Change: "Action: Disallow multiples" has been removed as that's now the only way to run actions.
This was necessary due to constant support requests from users who were trying to modify system
resources (files, etc) from the same action over and over, leading to the risk of data loss. In
essence, the action was competing with itself and sometimes crashing the app due to high memory.
You can always duplicate an action if you need to run it more than once (and at your own risk).
Major bug fix: The window's size and position is now always saved correctly between launches.
Major bug fix: "String: Assign" with text starting with a plus (+) is now correctly appended.
Major bug fix: Stopping all running actions sometimes didn't stop them all, but now does.
Bug fix: Renaming an action to change any of its case ("this" to "This") now works.
Bug fix: Disabled actions now show a warning message if you press their hotkey.
Bug fix: Pressing Enter on a disabled action no longer closes the app window.
Major enhancement: Actions with disabled steps now run faster, because the steps are ignored.
Major enhancement: Steps without variables now run faster, because there's nothing to expand.
Enhancement: All window-assigning steps are now colored purple, to be seen easier in actions.
Enhancement: New menu item: "Help -> See the last error again" for when an action shows an
error message and you accidentally dismissed or forgot it, and really need to see it again.
Enhancement: If an "Action: Comment" contains a website URL, pressing F1 on that step will
open the URL in your default browser. Perfect for accessing online notes about an action.
Hack use: make an action of favorite websites from commented URLs, so you can open them
anywhere when AlomWare Actions is run from a USB stick or other portable media.
Enhancement: Assigning strings from large files is now much faster and more efficient.
New step: "Computer: Volume is" for setting a volume percentage level (1-100%).
New step: "Mouse: Move down by" to move the mouse # pixels down from its current position.
New step: "Mouse: Move left by" to move the mouse # pixels left from its current position.
New step: "Mouse: Move right by" to move the mouse # pixels right its the current position.
New step: "Mouse: Move up by" to move the mouse # pixels down up its current position.
New step: "String: Assign from line number in file". Handy for getting data from files where
the line number containing the data never changes.
New step: "Wait: For a folder's data to change" to know when a folder's files are changed.
Minor change: The "Boilerplate letter example" action was fixed slightly to read better.
Other internal fixes and optimizations.
Minor changes to the manual.

Bug fix: Some actions didn't perform calculations correctly, leading to unexpected crashes.
Bug fix: Importing actions that had spaces before or after the steps now works, instead of
resulting with an action of erroneous steps. In reality this bug didn't occur often, but the
fix is now there to counter it, just in case.
Bug fix: "Action: Debug" now shows the PC state variables and date/time variables again.
Bug fix: Choosing to use system colors now also turns off the highlight color; and using the
default app colors now also turns the highlight color back on. You can still manually turn on
or off the highlight color at any time.
Bug fix: The step chooser splitter position is now saved correctly when it gets resized.
Bug fix: After a choice alert closes, the previous active window is reactivated again.
Bug fix: After a splash window closes, the previous active window is reactivated again.
Major enhancement: The window is now tabbed to allow for new future functions, and the first is
a new "Log" tab that allows your actions to show text in it. See the new log steps further below.
Enhancement: The "Alert: Ask for a choice" window is now wider to show more text of each choice.
Enhancement: The save window position(s) wizards can now restore window positions that are off
the top and left sides of the desktop, for users that like to save windows slightly off-screen.
Enhancement: Added "Apps" as another hotkey option for triggering actions. We were hesitant to
add it because the Apps menu might pop up as a side-effect, but the option is there anyway.
Enhancement: Macro recording now captures the Apps key if pressed.
Enhancement: "Keyboard: Type keystrokes" can now press the Apps key, and type these symbols:
{+-} {1/4} {1/2} {3/4} {cent} {copy} {currency} {degree} {euro} {pound} {reg} {section}
{super1} {super2} {super3} {yen}
Enhancement: "Computer: Taskbar visible" can now have "toggle" specified (not just "0" or "1").
Enhancement: "Window: Always on top" can now have "toggle" specified (not just "0" or "1").
Enhancement: "Window: Enabled" can now have "toggle" specified (not just "0" or "1").
Enhancement: "Window: Taskbar button" can now have "toggle" specified (not just "0" or "1").
Enhancement: "Window: Visible" can now have "toggle" specified (not just "0" or "1").
Enhancement: "Window: Move to desktop position" can now have negative values, for positioning
off the top and left sides of the monitor. (Previously the values couldn't be less than zero).
New step: "Log: Add text" to add a block of text to the log. The first time an action adds to
the log, the action's name and time/date is added for identification (because the log doesn't
get cleared unless you specifically do it; and all running actions can add to it at any time).
New step: "Log: Clear" to clear all text from the log.
New step: "Log: Clear and show" to open AlomWare Actions, clear the log, and show it.
New step: "Log: Copy to clipboard" to copy the log text to the clipboard.
New step: "Log: Save to file" to save the log text to the specified file.
New step: "Log: Show" to open AlomWare Actions and show the log.
Other internal fixes and optimizations.
