  • Facebook has quietly changed the slogan on the signup section of its homepage in the US and Europe.
  • The tagline was changed from "It's free and always will be" to be "It's quick and easy."
  • It was switched silently between 6 and 7 August, and Facebook is yet to state why.
  • Speaking to Business Insider, an expert in digital law said the change is a way of Facebook acknowledging that the site isn't really free, as users are paying with their data.
