HitmanPro.Alert 3.5 Build 546 Released

After a (too long) private beta period we now release HitmanPro.Alert version 3.5. I want to take to opportunity to thank everybody who participated in the private beta. Thank you!
If you are still running a 3.5 beta you are encouraged to upgrade to this release.

CryptoGuard 4th generation
Major new feature is the addition of the 4th generation of CryptoGuard (est. 2013). It is now capable of detecting "imperfect" crypto-ransomware families. These types of crypto-ransomware simply create encrypted copies of your files and then delete the originals. If you use an undelete tool like Recuva you can get much of your data back. Hence why we call these families imperfect. Getting hit by these types is still highly annoying so we added support for protecting against these families.

CryptoGuard v4 also improves the rollback mechanism that restores encrypted files to their original state. And we have vastly improved the cleanup of the temp files in the CryptoGuard rollback folder.

Since 2013, CryptoGuard not only protects against locally running crypto-ransomware, but also provides protection against infected endpoints trying to encrypt your locally shared data from remote.

WipeGuard
With the advent of Master Boot Record based ransomware (Petya and Mischa), we have added a new mitigation called WipeGuard (currently part of CryptoGuard). This mitigation protects your critical disk sectors from being overwritten. This is the first release of WipeGuard, future releases will enhance this mitigation. Stay tuned.


Improvements
Next to new features we have also improved performance across the board. Mitigations are now faster and alerts provide more information.

Zainstalowałam wersję trial tego programu na moim kompie z XP, nie było żadnego konfliktu z innymi programami do ochrony. Ów soft jest leciutki, szybciej uruchamia swoją ochronę niż AppGuard i na pewno jest godny polecenia.

Zainstalowałam wersję trial tego programu na moim kompie z XP, nie było żadnego konfliktu z innymi programami do ochrony. Ów soft jest leciutki, szybciej uruchamia swoją ochronę niż AppGuard i na pewno jest godny polecenia.

Radzę sprawdzić logi w AppGuard'zie

Jeśli masz AppGuarda i HitmanaPro.Alert na jednym kompie to na pewno będzie coś blokował i to właśnie jest w logach, piszę oczywiście o blokowaniu innych tych dobrych programów.AppGuard to taki program który trzeba odpowiednio skonfigurować.Jeśli nie masz AG i HitmanaPro.Alert razem na 1 PC to i tak pewnie w logach AG będą blokowane inne programy.

Jak aktualizuję inne programy do ochrony, to muszę AppGuard przełączać w tryb allow install mode. Niestety nie miałam wpływu na to, że gdzie zainstalować HitmanPro.Alert... Jeśli dobrze rozumiem, to w razie konfliktu powinnam ów nowy soft dodać do wykluczeń? OK, sprawdzę dziś logi AppGuard i przekonam się, czy jest jakiś konflikt... Na razie komp z XP dobrze działa...

Edit: w każdym razie przeskanowałam dziś w nocy mój komputer z XP, za pomocą HitmanPro.Alert i on nie wykrył tam żadnych zagrożeń.

Edit2: @OXYGEN THIEF, sprawdziłam logi AppGuard, w tym tzw. raport aktywności i tam nie było info o zablokowaniu żadnego programu zabezpieczającego... AppGuard tylko blokował sprawdzanie aktualizacji w Firefox, co nie było szkodliwe, bo ów soft już nie będzie aktualizowany. Chyba mi się udało... I zainstalowałam kolejny soft do ochrony, bez konfliktów... Na XP nie chcę instalować darmowego Malwarebytes, bo uruchamia swój okres testowy... Dlatego na XP zainstalowałam HitmanPro.Alert...

Jedyny mój problem z XP dotyczy nie oprogramowania, ale bateryjki od biosu.
