Czytałem że z tym testem HTML5 to nie jest tak różowo :

Jak więc się stało, że Maxthon wyprzedził Chrome? WebKit ma niektóre funkcje HTML5 dopiero w trakcie rozwoju lub nie są przetestowane. Chrome domyślnie wyłącza je i będą nieaktywne do czasu aż będą działać stabilnie. Maxthon skompilował WebKita pod siebie bez wyłączania owych funkcji (mimo ich potencjalnej niestabilności/niedziałania) i puścił to jako wydanie stabilne.

Dokładnie chodzi o elementy i , MediaStream i API GetUserMedia oraz i regiony CSS.

W aktualnym Chrome Canary build (20.0.1127.0), aktywując w/w opcje przez chrome:flags aktualny wynik HTML5 test to 444 punkty i 13 bonusowe. (żeby nie było, że ściemniam:

Trudno też, żeby Maxthon był szybszy, jeśli działa na tym samym silniku, a do samej przeglądarki naładowano pełno bloat-kodu, bajerów, ikon, skinów. Jeśli jest różnica w prędkości, to tylko na niekorzyść Maxthona. W takich chwilach zastanawiam się po co w ogóle jest html5test.com? Jeśli test nie ma sprawdzać faktycznej poprawności implementacji/działania, no to jaki jest sens tej zabawy? Uzyskanie 500/500 za pomocą nieskończonej implementacji nie jest trudne, tylko czy o to chodzi, żeby oszukać test, czy żeby wspierać HTML5? Twórcy testu mogliby się tam chociaż nie kompromitować takimi "rewelacjami".
