- replace Windows "Pick icon" small dialog box (crashing QAP on some systems) with custom and larger "Select icon" dialog box
- fix bug when a Shared menu settings file is not found (update strongly recommended for users of Shared menus)
- add a checkbox in the Setup program to make optional the creation of Start menu icon when installing QAP; uninstall and reinstall QAP (keeping your data in the QAP Settings folder) because this option is maintained if you only update QAP

  • Copy and move submenus and groups:
  • allow to copy a single submenu or group and its contents (moving was already possible)
  • allow to copy or move multiple submenus or groups and all their contents (using shift+click or ctrl+click to select multiple items)
  • when copying or moving favorites, add [!] to their name when an existing favorite has the same name (instead of aborting the copy/move)
  • Search:
  • improved "Search" tool in the "Customize" window
  • add three buttons on the left side of the Search result:
  • "Sort" button to sort by any search result column
  • "View menu" button to open a popup menu with the favorites currently in the search result (duplicate menu names are appended with the "[!]" suffix to make them unique)
  • "Open submenu" to open in the Customize window the submenu containing the selected item in the search result
  • when editing a favorite from the search result, stay in the search result (instead of changing the menu to the edited favorite as before)
  • allow to move multiple favorites from search result (multiple copy was already possible)
  • show all favorites in the search result when selecting the new menu item "Search All Favorites" under the "Tool" menu of the "Customize" window or when setting the search filter to "{All}"
  • in "Extended search", also search based on the favorite's menu path
  • when searching favorites in the "Customize" window, use the locale settings making (e.g. "�" considered as "e")
  • when favorite names include an ampersand (&) as a keyboard shortcut, search names wtih or without the ampersand
  • New Options for Search tool:
  • add an option in "Customize Window" section to set the "Search scope" to all favorites from main menu (default) or ton only favorites under the menu currently displayed in the "Customize" window
  • add an option to display additional columns in search result with dates and statistical info: date modified, date created, last usage date and usage frequency (QAP must me restarted after changing this option)
  • when QAP window is maximized and showing additional columns, squeeze larger columns to show all columns in the available space
  • do not display last used and usage stats columns if database disabled
  • add an option in section "Customize Window" to make the use locale settings optional when searching favorites (default enabled)
  • Previous/Next arrows:
  • in the "Customize" window, add "Next" arrow in addition to the "Previous" arrow, allowing to browse backward and forward in QAP already visited menus, groups or search results
  • add hotkeys Shift+Ctrl+Left to return to previous menu and Shift+Ctrl+Right move forward in visited menus in the "Customize" window
  • display the list of menu and groups already visited in the previous/next menus when hovering these arrows buttons
  • Various:
  • when saving a new, edited or copied favorite, alert user if an existing favorite in any submenu has the same location and some other properties
  • when clicking the "Sort" button in the "Customize" window, sort favorites based on user's locale setting (taking into account all non-English characters)
  • in the "Customize" window, add an icon on the bottom left side to open a popup menu with the favorites in the menu or group currently displayed
  • add the QAP feature "Favorites in Customize window" to show a menu with the current content (a sumenu, a group or a search result) of the "Customize" window (this dynamic menu can only be added to the "Main" menu)
  • Bug fixes:
  • fix bug when activating a running application instead of relaunching it if this option is selected in Application favorites
  • fix bug playing favorite's sound
  • fix bug when launching with the "Run as administrator" option enabled
  • fix various other minor bugs
  • Language:
  • add Russian language file
  • update of language files for German, French, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch language and Simplified Chinese languages (still looking for new a Spanish translator)

  • New option allowing to automatically sort favorites in the menu
  • Sort by "Name", "Type", "Hotkey", "Location or content", "Created date", "Modified date" and, if the QAP database is enabled, by "Last used date" or "Usage" level
  • Open a subfolder automatically (in "Edit Favorite" dialog box, "Advanced Settings" tab):
  • New option for favorites of type "Folder" to open automatically one of its subfolder based on its date

  • Favorites list in Customize window:
  • In "Options, Customize Window", a new option to display additional columns in the favorites list: last modification date, creation date, last usage date and usage level (the same options also applies to the search result list)
  • A new "Sort" button on the left side of the "Customize" window opens a popup menu allowing to sort the favorites in the displayed menu by any column (this does a one-time sorting in regular submenus or change the sort criteria in automatically sorted menus)
  • In the "Sort" menu, two additional entries allow to edit the current menu and access the "Customize Window" options
  • Right-clicking in the favorites list, open the "Sort" menu allowing to sort the items or access the "Edit this menu" or "Customize Window Options" dialog boxes
  • Various bug fixes:
  • Fix a bug in the installer (setup mode only) when checking for the Explorer context menu option
  • When adding a favorite with the "Add Active Folder or Web page Express" command or with the context menu entries "Add Folder/File to QAP menu Express", make the ampersands "&" visibles automatically in favorite name by doubling them ("&&")
  • Fix bug when setting the submenu for items added from context menu entries "Add Folder/File to QAP menu Express" or other QAPmessenger commands

  • Fix bug to support favorite Link's "Parameters" option allowing, for example, to add the "-incognito" Chrome's parameter to open a window
  • Remove ending backslash of folders path when saving favorite folders them to settings file or to database, except if folder is a root like "C:"
  • Also remove ending backslash when loading them from ini file (for folder saved before this release)
  • Fix bug when suggesting a favorite short name for menu when folder's path ends with backslash
  • Allow to edit or paste the icons file path when selecting a favorite's icon
  • New JLicon.dll file v1.6.1 fixing wrong icon for live folders

  • New licensing system replacing the sponsor codes with various paid licenses and a free edition
  • Add in one step multiple folders, documents, applications, Special Folders or QAP Features to a specified submenu or group
  • Improvements to: Customize window, Livefolders, Windows Terminal support, Directory Opus and Total Commander support
  • License processing:
  • Implement a new licensing system replacing the sponsor codes; new licenses are available for a modest price and a free edition is also available

  • When users launch QAP without a valid license, it displays the "Manage License" dialog box where users can get a license on QAP website or to enter their license they
  • The "Help, Manage your license" menu in the "Customize" window allows to manage the license on QAP website (using a password sent when getting the license), remove installations, etc.
  • The "About" dialog box now displays the license info with a link to copy the info to the Clipboard
  • The new QAP feature "Manage License" allows to insert this feature anywhere in your QAP menu
  • New license text in the "About" dialog box, setup file and portable zip file
  • Add Multiple Favorites:
  • A new menu "Favorite, Add Multiple Favorites" in the "Cuszomize" window allows to add various favorites to a menu or group in one step;
  • Multiple favorites sources are:
  • Add favorites folders or applications from the "Current Windows";
  • Add items from the "Recent Folders" or the "Recent Files";
  • Add items from the "Frequent Folders" or the "Frequent Files";
  • Add multiple QAP Features or Special Folders;

  • Replace the old (an unfriendly) Windows "Select Folder" dialog box with a more workable dialog box (thanks to Flipeador) where the folder can be changed with the QAP menu
