RusRoute is a router and firewall, Internet gateway for Windows, it is the ideal solution for making Internet gateway for local area network (LAN) of any firm, the users' traffic encountering and restricting, protection against of network attacks with functions of NAT, redirect, dynamic TCP shaper with conditional expressions, VPN server, transparent proxy with port numbers saving, LAN to VPN Bridge, DHCP servers, HTTP caches, HTTP to HTTP proxy converter, captive portal feature, timed action and Splitters for rules, with advanced routing options.
TCP connections speed can be very improved by using legal TCP stack replacement by any of 12+ Linux TCP stacks algorithms starting a simple network utility on a machine with Linux (guest virtual, or standalone real) operation system.

• For special rule settings with counters, the start time of the countdown period now starts from the moment the first matching packet arrives, and not from the beginning of fixed time intervals.
• Minor changes in the library: in the hash table, file, and error information classes. The hash table scanning functions with selective deletion of elements are now faster, and new versions of these functions are used in the code.

• New in version:
• Self-signed driver update: fixed a bug that could cause BSOD when comparing network adapter names, new hash table and allocator classes, removed some old code and optimized experimental code in memory, WDK has been updated.
• Since it is not possible to sign the driver for current platforms and compile it for old platforms, the program driver support is limited to a self-signed build for Windows 10 x64 and later.
• Extended support for various open DNS servers in the master firewall rule generator wizard. Ability to allow traffic for DoH and DoT services of these servers. But, since the RusRoute firewall does not re-encrypt DoH and DoT protocols, there is no way to control and redirect traffic of these protocols to any one service. This can only be done for open DNS traffic (recommended for HTTP Captive Portal support).
• Removed some unnecessary work with data in the firewall.
• Library updates (working with constexpr global strings, object usage counters, etc.).
• Some other internal improvements.

RusRoute 3.2.6​

• Improved anti-DDoS protection. SYN-ACK TCP Reflect and ACK Scan/Flood stress testing has been performed. TCP DDoS attack detection has been added.
• Improved the performance of the blocked IP addresses window (in the previous version, the window would freeze when there were less than 100,000 blocked IPs). Blocked IP addresses are now collapsed to 0.0.0.0 or :: // DDoS when a DDoS attack is detected. The internal limit on the maximum transferred data block size has been increased; in the case of a large data transfer in the blocked IPs window, some addresses may not be included in the list.
• Added settings the TCP DDoS detect thresold and the Max. blocked IPs timeout.
• Slightly accelerated handling of XML document objects, and shortened the executable code.
• ACK Scan/Flood testing revealed that when internet access was provided through an Asus RT-AC68U router, internet traffic was completely blocked during the attack. When internet access was provided through a PC with a RusRoute firewall, internet access was possible during the attack at night (more than 1.6 million TCP ACK Flood packets were blocked in 60 seconds), but during the day (when the network is busier), internet access was significantly impaired (more than 1.1 million TCP ACK Flood packets were blocked in 60 seconds).
