What is new?

* File & Registry Shield
Users can create rules to limit the access of certain application groups to specified files, folders or registry keys. Due to the advanced nature of this feature it is only available in "Advanced Mode".
* Completely reworked GUI
Online Armor 5.0 was adapted to the design of the other Emsisoft products and shows a lot of usage simplifications. Additionally the readability of alert windows has been optimized.
* IE Addons removed
The IE Addons menu was removed. BHOs are really just another autorun and are now handled as such.
* Content filtering in Web Shield removed
The content filtering aspects of the Web Shield were removed. They were introduced at a time when essentially all browsers lacked control over active content or your private information. Times have changed though and most modern browsers actually do a far superior job now than the Web Shield ever did. Therefore we decided to remove the content filtering from the Web Shield which will result in better compatibility and network performance.
* Improved self protection on x86 and x64 systems.
* Over 400 detail improvements and bug fixes based on user and tester feedback.


How to install Online Armor 5.0?
Just run the setup and choose to upgrade your installation.

Known problems:

* The setup may offer you a trial version although it is no longer available on your system.
* The translations may be incomplete at the moment.

Oxy...a gdzie changelog? I dlaczego nie używasz nazwy Online Armor?...to nieładnie wobec tak szacownego programu
Lista zmian w stosunku do RC 1

"* A possible SCW freeze has been fixed.
* Added a signature update inside the SCW for OA++ to ensure OA++ users have the most recent signatures from the first boot on.
* Several popups tweaks to fix missing string replacements ("%s" in messages).
* Improved self protection for malware that emulates hotkeys and activated "Learning Mode" by itself.
* Added "Not-trusted" status in the Domains view back to the legend to clarify it's meaning.

Known problems:

* The setup may offer you a trial version although it is no longer available on your system.
* The translations may be incomplete at the moment.
* Running Chrome inside a Sandboxie sandbox won't work unless you exclude Chrome from Online Armor.
* Under Windows 7 x86 SP1 certain window message APIs aren't monitored correctly.
* Installing software inside Sandboxie may not work due to Online Armor blocking certain DLLs from being loaded in the sandboxed installer."
Nie wiem, czy ktoś jeszcze ma z nim jakieś doświadczenia i czy będą zgodne z moimi...moje są bardzo pozytywne jak na RC dopiero
- wszystko działa stabilnie
- żadnych konfliktów ze Avastem czy SS
- żadnych "zamrożeń" startu systemu czy w trakcie jego działania
- żadnych opóźnień w działaniu przeglądarek
- komunikaty chyba bardziej przejrzyste i zrozumiałe, niż w starszych wersjach
- co do wyglądu...jak kto lubi - stary interfejs był bardzo charakterystyczny natomiast ten nowy wygląd wydaje się bardziej "profesjonalny"
- opcji do ustawień nieco jakby więcej...ostatnio był u mnie rok temu jakoś więc mogłem o czymś zapomnieć
- zużycie zasobów bardzo przyzwoite...4 procesy stałe i zużycie RAM na poziomie ok.19 MB, a szczegóły wyglądają tak:

What is new in Online Armor 5.1?

Greatly increased compatibility and stability with other applications
We focused on improving the compatibility and stability of Online Armor in conjunction with products like Google Chrome, Sandboxie, Panda Cloud AV and others.

Overhauled white list settings
We changed the white list settings slightly. In addition it is now possible to optionally trust all digitally signed files that were signed using a certificate that hasn't been used in connection with fraudulent or malicious activities in the past.

New upload feature
You are not sure about a certain program? You can now easily upload it to the Emsisoft Anti-Malware Network and get the file scanned using Emsisoft Anti-Malware.

More than 100 other bug fixes
More than 100 reported bugs and issues in Online Armor 5.0 are fixed in 5.1. Those fixes include for example a recently reported vulnerability with Sinowal drive-by downloads, freezes during the SCW, freezes when executing applications from network shares, various Online Armor GUI freezes, cases where Online Armor forgot about certain application rules as well as many others.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.0 beta is now available for upgrade through the Emsisoft Anti-Malware 5.1 beta update channel.

Changes from 6.0.0.25 to 6.0.0.28:

You can now set an "action on scan end" directly at the scan selection.
Fixed a problem with detection name conversion for IKARUS detections.
Fixed a possible heap corruption when detecting malware in archives.
Fixed a problem where the autorun key got deleted during update.
Fixed a problem that caused application rules and white listing entries from not working correctly.
Added a notification message if your license has been changed server side.
Fixed a problem with the File Guard scanning files on network shares.
Fixed a possible crash during update if a granted license was extended server side.
Fixed a synchronisation issue that caused the service to crash during certain realtime protection events.
Fixed a problem that caused news updates to be displayed every update.
Scan cache data should now always be saved correctly during service shutdown.
Added a confirmation dialog in case the user tries to abort the EAM Wizard before it has been completed successfully at least once.
A few tweaks to the new scanning animations.

Emsisoft nie chwali się tym na swoich stronach internetowych (a przynajmniej nie zauważyłem), ale dziś rano mój EAM zaktualizował się w ramach aktualizacji beta z wersji 6.6.0.4 do wersji 7.0.0.6, czyli nadchodzi nowsza generacja EAM.
Changelogu też nie widzę nigdzie u Emsisofta, ale skopiowałem sobie z okna aktualizacji i oto zmiany w wersjach:

Moją uwagę zwróciła jedna ciekawa rzecz: moduł bdcore.dll w pobranych plikach. I fakt, oto screen z okna Info:

Wygląda na to, że Emsisoft zrezygnował z Ikarusa, a przesiadł się na silnik własny i BitDefender (w wersji 11.0.1.6)... Ciekawe, jak to wpłynie na jego wykrywalność, może się poprawi.

P.S. Ja osobiście (może to błąd u mnie, co by mnie nie zdziwiło) radzę wyłączyć aktualizację beta, bo Emsisoft chwilowo przestał znajdować wirusa nawet w pliku testowym EICAR - co być może wynika z tego, że dopiero po godzinie zapragnął pobrać sygnatury BitDefendera.

user SirPainKiller pisał jakiś czas temu ze Emsi ma podobno od v7 używać silnika Bitdefendera, zamiast Ikarusa.W sumie BitDefender ostatnio to topowy soft więc ze skutecznością będzie wypas, choć przecież wersje które korzystały z silnika Ikarusa (+ własny Emsi) też były (są) bardzo skuteczne.

Jak po przejściu na nowy silnik wygląda sprawa z obciążeniem??

w wersji ostatniej finalnej już wzrosło co mnie zszokowało ... a rezygnując z silnika ikarusa i dodając bit defendera nie ma co się łudzić zakładam ze "pióreczko" to nie będzie (nie jest)

Skanuje szybciej i obciążenie jest mniejsze niż na silniku Ikarus. Przy wyborze własnego typu skanowania powoduje u mnie Bsod- Driver corrupted MMPOL. Czy też macie problemy z własnym skanowaniem?
