How to create a custom scan schedule using the Windows Task Scheduler
First, disable the built-in daily scan in Hitman Pro:
* Open Hitman Pro 3.5
* Click on Settings
* Uncheck Scan computer daily during startup
* Click OK
Now follow these steps to create your own schedule (Windows XP example):
* Click Start on the taskbar and select Control Panel
* Choose Performance and Maintenance and click on Scheduled Tasks
* Double-click on Add Scheduled Task
* Click Next
* Click Browse...
* Look in C:\Program Files\Hitman Pro 3.5, select HitmanPro35.exe and click Open
* Type a name for this task, choose when it should be peformed and click Next
* Select time and day and click Next
* Enter your name and password and click Next
* Check Open advanced properties... and click Finish
* Add the command line options /scan and /quiet to the Run field. Example:
"C:\Program Files\Hitman Pro 3.5\HitmanPro35.exe" /scan /quiet
* Click OK
Done. Hitman Pro will now scan automatically at the configured date(s) and time
