  • 1Password Environments now support up to 25 local .env file destinations per computer.
  • In 1Password Environments, you’ll now be taken back to the Environments overview screen after you add an environment variable or import a .env file.
  • When you try to delete a workload from a 1Password Environment, the Delete button is now always available. If the name you enter doesn’t match the workload’s name, you’ll see an error.
  • We’ve updated the phrasing and layout of the prompt for approving apps or AI agents to use credentials in 1Password, clarifying what’s being used and how your credentials are protected.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where you could sometimes see biometric unlock options on the lock screen that weren’t available at that time.
  • We’ve fixed a visual issue where every option in the sign-in address dropdown menu would show a checkmark beside it when you were signing in to a 1Password account manually.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where a temporary connection problem could prompt you to set up a recovery code even if you already had one.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where pressing the Home or End keys in the search field would select the first or last result instead of moving the cursor to the start or end of your search.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where you could delete your only working recovery code if you have a 1Password account that signs in with a passkey and you also had an older, inactive recovery code.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password could show the wrong account or collection when you opened the app after being away for a while.

1Password 8.12.46-26 Beta

  • You’ll now see items you’ve recently opened using search when you select the search bar.
  • We’ve added a summary that explains what 1Password Environments are in Developer > View Environments.
  • The Share My Score option in Watchtower now says “Post to X” instead of “Tweet”.
  • We’ve improved the contrast of the letters in monogram icons, like the ones shown for items without a website icon.
  • Screen readers now announce the section associated with an untitled field’s dropdown menu.
  • Screen readers now properly announce the “Add tag” field and explain how to choose a suggested tag.
  • The 1Password MCP Server setup instructions now point to Developer settings and include a few troubleshooting steps.
  • We’ve made improvements for when you resize the app, like collapsing the sidebar when narrowing the window and centering the search bar.
  • We’ve improved the contrast of the “You can’t edit this vault” message in the dropdown menu for a vault in the sidebar.
  • Screen readers will now identify the 1Password sidebar as navigation, explain how to use the arrow keys to move between its items, and announce the “Show sidebar” button in the toolbar.
  • Screen readers will now announce what each option in the “Link expires after” dropdown menu controls when you share an item.
  • We’ve improved keyboard and screen reader access in the item list, so focus now moves directly to the part of the list that’s scrollable.
  • We’ve improved the consistency of how links are shown in Developer screens.
  • We’ve moved some Autofill-related settings into the Autofill section in Settings.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where security preset names and descriptions in Settings > Security didn’t update after you changed the app language.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where pressing Tab could move keyboard focus to an invisible part of a scroll bar, like after the last field when editing an item.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where screen readers didn’t announce whether an alert was an error, warning, success, or information message.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where screen readers announced most fields in the item editor as “text” and didn’t say which section a field belonged to.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where new items created from a custom template would open with the template name already filled in as the title.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password cleared the clipboard after automatically copying a one-time password while filling, even when clearing the clipboard was turned off.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where you could no longer sign in on a device when another family or team member signed in to 1Password on that same device.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where a file attachment you downloaded or previewed could briefly appear empty when you opened it.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where screen readers could land on an empty element while a tooltip was showing, like the tooltip on the unavailable Save button in Manage Collections.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where passkeys saved in some recent 1Password beta releases couldn’t be used in earlier versions of 1Password.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where opening Security settings could be slow or show a Windows Hello prompt.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where individual TeamViewer remote sessions and other app windows were missing from the Type in Window list.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where you could check for updates even when your MDM policy blocked in-app updates if you installed 1Password using the MSIX installer.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where screen readers announced the search field on the “Migrate your data” screen by its placeholder text and read the import source names as headings.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where keyboard focus didn’t return to where you were after you closed some dialogs, like the “Discard your changes?” warning when editing an item.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where screen readers didn’t announce which items in the item list were marked as favorites.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where screen readers could miss the Manage Vault button that appears when you focus on a vault in the sidebar. The button is now announced on its own instead of as part of the vault.
  • We’ve fixed an issue with extra spacing on the right side of the sidebar.
  • We’ve fixed the capitalization of the SSH agent “Running” status label in Developer settings.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where an error or setup message could disappear before you could read it when you exported data from your Unlock with SSO account after device authentication failed or was unavailable.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where the pop-up shown when you hovered over a vault in the sidebar could show an incorrect number of groups with access to the vault.
  • We’ve fixed an issue where screen readers announced an entire account in Manage Collections as selected when only some of its vaults were selected.
