Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware BETA 7, v. 0.9.16.484, is now available for download from this link.

This is only available for new downloads to start, but we'll enable upgrades for current users later this week. If you're running an earlier beta, you can always download and install Beta 7 on top of your current version.

Known Issue:
If installing the upgrade on Windows 8.1 x64 over a previous Beta, the service may not start automatically. In this case, simply click Start Protection on the Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware dashboard or run the Beta installer a second time.
Improvements:
New ransomware variants of DMA Locker, CryptoXXX and CryptoJoker are now detected
Improved remediation, including ability to kill a process and more complete removal of ransomware traces
Performance improvements to prevent high CPU and memory usage
Further enhancements to prevent false positives
Added tray icon status indicator whenever protection is disabled
Added version information to About page to indicate specific component package installed
Enhanced messaging after a BETA has expired so that it's clear a new version should be installed
Updated the dialog message shown when attempting to restore a file marked for deletion to clarify that restoring cannot proceed until after the reboot
Issues Fixed:
Fixed issue where shutdown times increased after installing Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware
Fixed issue where Microsoft Office applications would only open files as Read Only
Fixed issue where detections were triggered on an excluded process
Fixed issue where Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware was not the active window immediately after installation
Fixed issue where resizing a column in a table could make it disappear from view
Fixed issue when deleting multiple items from quarantine where only half of the items were actually deleted
Fixed issue where quarantined items were not always listed in chronological order after restoring or deleting items from the list

Added support to allow exclusion of folders in addition to individual files

Added basic command line functions for Business version to allow ability to start or stop protection, add or remove exclusions and restore an item from quarantine
Created an MSI version of the Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware installer for Business version (coming soon...)
Improved side-by-side usage with other Business versions of Malwarebytes products: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v. 1.x and Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit v. 1.x
Issues Fixed:
Fixed a crash that could occur after a detection and required reboot
Fixed issue where deselecting rows in Quarantine did not work properly
Fixed issue where Dashboard showed mismatched protection state, e.g. showed as disabled even though it was properly enabled and active
